| RESEARCH |
The Center for Studies on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information (CELE) was founded at the Palermo University Law School with the objective of providing rigorous research to sectors of civil society, journalists, government institutions and the academic community that are dedicated to the promotion of those rights, primarily in Latin America.
CELE undertakes studies that it believes are necessary, but primarily conducts studies at the request of the aforementioned groups. To do this, CELE works with professors and researchers at other academic entities in Argentina and in other countries.
This section contains reports that have been completed in addition to reports that are currently in progress. |

| JURISPRUDENCE |
If common sense suggests that information generated by the state should be public, states establish limits and restrictions that are frequently questionable. Sometimes when there is no express law or regulation to establish freedom of access to information, it is the judges who develop the law with regard to this right.
This section presents Inter-American jurisprudence and the jurisprudence of specific countries that explore these limits or evaluate the significance of access to information in a democratic society. |

| LEGISLATION |
Access to information is a fundamental human right and an indispensable tool in the fight against corruption.
This section will briefly review the normative frameworks in different countries that guarantee, whether through law or jurisprudence, the right of its citizens to access public information. |
