Buenos Aires, the Latin American city with the best quality of life |
|
A study by the prestigious British magazine “The Economist” which examined the quality of life in 140 cities ranked Buenos Aires as the best city to live in Latin America.
The analysis found the quality of life based on five variables –health conditions, culture, environment, education and infrastructure- and assigned a relative score from 30 other qualitative and quantitative factors. Thus, Buenos Aires was the favorite among Latin American cities. Behind Buenos Aires were left Santiago de Chile, Montevideo and Rio de Janeiro.
The first place for the second year in a row, went to Vancouver, Canada. The city was commended in the study for their high standards of security and infrastructure, for the civility and upbringing of its citizens and for their general living conditions. In second and third place were Vienna and Melbourne, followed by cities from those countries, Austria and Australia, respectively. |
