REQUIREMENTS AND FORMATS (Versão em português / Versión Español)

  • The originality of the article submitted is a requirement for publication, and the simultaneous submission of articles to different journals in the scientific field is not allowed.

  • The author or authors must be professionals in the field of Design and Communication. The reception of articles in Actas de Diseño is not intended for students.

  • All articles must contain a structure and writing of an academic article. The structure will be:
    • • Title and subtitle (if any), followed by the name of the authors.
    • Abstract (no longer than 150 words in Spanish, English and Portuguese, including 5 to 10 keywords (see Controlled Vocabulary of Keywords).
    • Introduction, development and conclusion as part of the main body of the text.
    • Bibliographical references.
    • At the end of the document should include the summary of the curriculum vitae of the authors (containing professional training, degrees, postgraduate studies and current occupation related to academics and research with priority, this should not exceed 100 words).
    • The essays should be submitted digitally through the website
    • The articles submitted must correspond to the formats provided below. The omission of these formats may disqualify the article from review and therefore, it will not be published..

FORMAT SPECIFICATIONS

File Format: Word document, in upper and lower case. No indentation, text effects or special formatting.
• Authors: Can have one or more authors
• Language: Original language of authorship (Spanish, Portuguese or English).
• Extension: the maximum length of the paper is 10,000 words (with a mandatory minimum of 3,000 words), it should include an abstract in Spanish, English and Portuguese (150 words maximum) and 5 to 10 keywords.
• Images: It should NOT contain images, charts, graphs or photographs. Due to the format of the publication, text-only articles are preferred.
• Titles and Subtitles: Bold, uppercase and lowercase.
• Font: Times New Roman
• Font Style: Normal
• Size: 12 point
• Line Spacing: Single
• Page Size: A4
• Footnotes: Footnotes are not accepted. In case of any specific clarification, it should be incorporated within the main body of the text.
• Citations and references: Bibliographical references and in-text citations should follow the basic rules of the American Psychological Association APA Publication Style Manual. (See APA Standards).

IMPORTANT: Papers that omit authors in the bibliographical references will be rejected for review. The detection of plagiarism in the document automatically cancels its reception, as well as that of the author(s) for future publications.

THE CONTENT OF THE ARTICLES IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE AUTHORS.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

• A paper is considered a communication when it reveals an opinion or point of view on a specific topic of one or more authors. The submission of text-only articles is recommended due to the type of format. The maximum length of the paper is up to 10,000 words.
• Abstracts or papers are accepted independently. E.g., you can submit an abstract and a paper of the same article or only submit an abstract or a paper.
• All Abstracts and Communications received are evaluated for publication by the Editorial Board and the Referee Committee of the Journal Actas de Diseño ISSN 1850-2032 and go through a selection process..

IMPORTANT:

Authors retain the rights to their articles. The Faculty of Design and Communication of the University of Palermo reserves the publication rights -total or partial- of the articles submitted by each of the authors. Articles that do not respect the publication rules and the established requirements and formats will be automatically rejected for review and publication.
