Arrival / Orientation
The orientation period includes informational meetings about academic and practical matters, getting acquainted with the city, a visit to the University, and a meeting with the professors. An advisor will be assigned to each student to assist him or her throughout their stay.
The Library
The Library is considered to be the center of academic life and one of the most valuable resources of the university. It is organized in such a way as to offer direct access to its books and magazine collections. The collection holds 52,600 volumes, a video room and 2,800 subscriptions to periodical publications by CD-ROM.
The library holds volumes in several languages including versions in Spanish, English, French and other languages.
Computers and Internet Access
Computer laboratories are distributed throughout the campus and students are asigned an email address. Students are also able to access the university´s main system from home (the University of Palermo provides free dial-up Internet access to the students).
Sports and Recreation Activities
Soccer, basketball, rugby, field hockey, tennis, volleyball and indoor swimming are some of the sports available to the students.
Housing
Living with an Argentine host family allows the students to truly experience everyday life and culture in Buenos Aires. Furthermore, students are encouraged to speak Spanish immediately upon arrival. Residencies, apartments and hotel rooms are also available. |
